He asked me various questions regarding how had things changed from supporting R & D in the past and was it better now, why is it more enjoyable etc. Interview lasted about 5 mins, but I expect will only get a very shortened version broadcast. It was quite nerve wracking, unaccustomed as I am to public speaking!! It was very good of BBC to come to Dog and Duck especially when I believe there was another game on somewhere else last night. I think someone somewhere deserves credit for getting us this publicity opportunity.
I expect our friends on Poppynet will be fuming again and I can expect some comments from Poppie Trolls in due course. Hey ho. Am I bothered. Must go now I have calls to make to 1001 friends and family.

so
I'd laugh so much if they do get pissed off again

But well done for doing the interview!

Personally I thought Potton were a good side, hard to believe they were second from bottom. They closed us down very well, ran all night, especially their number 11 who looked like he had some potential.

Like a few others have said, I think we missed Sean in midfield, but a wins a win at the end of the day.

By the way, does anyone know what has happened to Gilsenan? Has he left the club?

Gilly Snr is still registered with us. He took a little break for personal reasons and has obviously now found himself down in the pecking order, with Brad and Aaron having joined us. He is back playing again in a lower league and is available to play for us again if required.

We asked that same question last night!! Apparently he's still with us and to get games he's playing for a team in the Combination but can't remember which team it is :D

Peaksie told me on Saturday that he's getting 'match time' with Gretton.

No offence, but I think he just filled a hole at the time. Brad and Aaron are younger, and have got better "legs" on them, so to speak.

He looked good when he first joined us but really struggled in the last 4 games he started.

Jamie is a great lad, and takes a real interest in what's happening all over the club. he missed his Sunday dinner to come and watch one of our Under 13's at Corby Kingswood earlier in the season.

I hope we see him back in an AFCR&D shirt.
