I'm glad you said it.
I was not alone. Louis Smith and Kingy looked far better when they came on but early days clearly.

Louis has come on in leaps and bounds following his stint at BPW. It just shows what difference playing games can make and hopefully others will benefit from the extra game time they may get in the U21's as well as the quality coaching

Smith made some excellent passes and thought king commanded midfield when he come on.
its early days, tomorrow the lads will get more game time and its always good for team spirit on a away day and think we will put some goals past northwich
another point why does alfie take the corners he should be in the box, during the season he will get some tap ins and improve his goal ratio which will keep his confidence up

Players not on parade last night Hopey, Parky, Brad Harris, Elliot Dent and any news on Ashley Foulger?

Hopey hasn't attended training yet as he is very busy with work commitments. Parky was having an operation this summer. Brad went on holiday Monday. Don't know why Dent wasn't in attendance and no news on Foulger signing.

Two trialists last night then according to match report. Thanks to (and for) information earlier in thread it seems the right back was Ashley Deeney, formerly of Slough Town.
Any information on the other trialist?

Jamal Clarke, previously with Evesham. Mentioned earlier in this thread.

Brad, Ash and Ell, all on holiday...
There will be the same throughout the next 4 weeks, with 3 or 4 players taking a break. It allows the squad to be used as if there are natural absentees through injuries or suspensions.
It was a rather tame performance, but, more 'ball at the feet' time for the players will come thick and fast.

Clarke is a big strong lad who is capable of playing up front, if required. Nobody will take liberties with him and I thought he did OK. Deeney is a compact solid full back who didn't do much wrong, and may be needed, as Merrill is recovering slowly from his bout of glandular fever which can some time to recover full strength.
Gilly, who abscence hasn't been mentioned in this thread, was also unavailable through holiday commitments.
I thought Fazel looked an exciting pacey player who really should have scored when creating that chance rather than blazing over the bar with only the goalie to beat late in the game.
