Don't think anyone's commented on it, but where was Starms today?

Quincey's shoulder problem is obviously ongoing and I can recall 4 or 5 occasions when it happened last season, although today's was probably the longest time i've seen him down for, he seemed to be really struggling with it
I didn't think there was any specific individual at the back that had a particularly bad game as others have said, although we need an experienced player back at the heart of it IMO, and I should imagine the plan is to have Parky involved by the time we face Wisbech and Spalding in quick succession in October.
I think Rob hit the nail on the head in an earlier post - we'll look back on today's result in 20 games' time and think how well we've done to come away with 3 points.

It should not be overlooked just how young those four lads at the back this afternoon are, bearing in mind the experience we had in Hopey, Deaks and Parky for many matches last season.

I know it's only UCL and they're not millionaires but really who organises a holiday for the first game of the season... Maybe he had a good reason for it.
Did anyone else hear the Deeping managers motivational dance and song? Lol

Many parents have only the 6 week school holiday period for holidays.

Great value for the win today, dominated long periods of the game and thoroughly deserved the points against a decent side - there won't be many who go there and win this season so I think we can feel pretty pleased with today's result.
Tuesday will be interesting, Sileby lost today, but 1-3 against a very fancied Spalding side wasn't the pounding I expected them to get, so we'll need to be on our guard. Be great to get a second win before next week's break from League action and our first ever FA Cup encounter - so excited about that.

Have to admit a good result against a good team, thought Dunks had a good game and the cross for the third goal was sublime, pity some other players didn't suss it out earlier otherwise we could have had more goals.
Great start let's keep it going on tuesday 8-)

Sileby keeper apparently had a stormer today (don't know if it is still Darren Watts), and apparently it should have been 10, but then that's the biased views of a Spalding fan on FB.
Will be tough game, but it's a completely different Sileby team to the one which won Div 1 last year.
