Personally I don't go on the UCL Facebook page, as it is full of wind up merchants. The best bet is to ignore it.
All the local clubs want to beat us, whether through jealousy or just sheer bloody mindedness. We are there to be shot at. I hate to say it, but like the old days when we were tagged as being "The Man Ure" of non league football. It is a typical british trait to slag success, no wonder this country is going backwards 8-)

Duke and Geezer1 are quite right - but I suspect their suggestions will fall on deaf ears. As far back as I can remember - to the days of the original Conference Forum when we were first in the Conference - Diamonds fans have always had this challenge. Those that have "seen it before" know how to handle it, but others will think their wise words about the Diamonds will educate the trolls - and that will never happen.

Unfortunately, now we are a fans run club its even more important that Diamonds fans are able to handle themselves in these places, as our opinion is far more significant than when we had a specific owner.

I'm not suggesting we go to back to the dark days when the RDFC Trust elite banned their board members from posting on open forums, but my view is that taking on trolls on Facebook or anywhere else is always doomed to be a losing battle. What do any of the "troll-fighters" think?

It's not deaf ears I enjoy arguing with the twats on there. If you choose to ignore it that's your prerogative as it is mine to get involved.

I enjoy a bit if banter as much as the next person, and I've always tried to be fair and honest in my assessments of games on there, but after the vitriol yesterday just for stating the fact that our opponents put men behind the ball (they did!) I can't be arsed anymore and I've now defriended it and won't post on there anymore. It's pointless - I'll just sign up to the "no-one likes us we don't care" camp, I can't be bothered with the Paul Winston show anymore - he's one of those cyber warriors that will turn everything you say into a negative, he's almost like an Internet stalker just waiting for the chance to slag us off.

Post on there if you must, but try not to drop to the Deeping village idiots level eh? Personally I'd urge all diamonds fans to defriend it and cut off the fool's supply !!
