I was gutted to miss the match last night, and people have only vaguely said about lances treatment. If anyone could extend on what happened with watching how they say it then I'd like to be up to date.
With regarding lance, I would be equally as gutted as I was with wizz if he leaves. I think his skill and ability shines and should definitely be given a chance. Even if he was to be put in the u21 for a couple of weeks. I think the club owes lance for his effort in the Cambridge match, would we have got a trip to Dover if he wasn't on the field? I don't think so
On the downside with lance is he seems to air his frustration on Twitter alot which is obviously going against him. A football club will be treated like any other job, if I was to mention my company on a social networking site then I would be sacked. Perhaps if he used his head a bit and go through the right channels then he might get somewhere
One other point. Obviously starms has his views and opinions on lance. Perhaps if we were as community spirited as we say then it wouldn't harm to gently ask starms in his after match interview about lance, if anything to settle this. All this blow up on the forum can't be good for squad morale...

A few of us are scratching our heads to say the least after a 7-1 win I kind of expected everyone to be rather happy with that, not going on about a player.
There are 2 sides to every story remember, one is tweeted and one (quite correctly) is not.
Does everything think the manager is a horrid person on a self important ego trip to destroy a young lads confidence?, absolutely not.
I put my faith in Starms and Peaksey to get the results on the pitch, which is what we want isn't it? Or would we rather be rotating the squad just so all the players are happy and losing every week.
If a bigger club with more money came calling most of our players would be off, thats the nature of football, you can't have it both ways.
Feel free to put a motion up at the next fans forum to say we want our club to put player happiness first and results second and no one can moan if we are still in the UCl premier in 5 years time.

Starms is asked about player movement in the interviews.
I thought we were good last night, clinical up front, solid in defence, the Deakin Clarke partnership starts to be working very well. Pleased to see Ben come on and I thought the 7-1 score line reflected the game, we were dominant.
P.s. Anyone listen to Radio Diamonds last night?

Indeed - and if people listened to the interview after the Wisbech game they might get an insight into last night's decisions.

I think we'd said a few times that one day our finishing will click and we'll inflict a heavy defeat onto our opponents. We certainly did that last night, and as well as the forward players our midfielders pressed well - and had to do some serious covering back at times with both Merrill and Brown given licence to get forwards so much. Séan McBride did really well to stop one Rangers attack in particular - he's certainly back to his best in the past few games.

Five subs, three changes it's a no win situation.
With the game well won would anyone have complained if Connor Brown was given some minutes?
Also remember that Jamal's substituion was forced through injury. That would have changed the game plan I'm sure.

I accept all of this. It is just a case that we are passionate and endear ourselves to some players more than others. Lance is one of them and we feel he has deserved a run in the starting 11 over the last few weeks. He hasn't been given that opportunity and we are voicing our opinions as to the reason. It is perceived that the managers are not treating him as we would expect, because, they don't do as we would, and choose him in the starting 11. I would like to see Lance play more than he has.

last nights performance was like a breath of fresh air, after so much negativity recently.
Every player was excellent. I had Alfie as MOTM, but it could have been any one of eleven.
Some cracking goals and team spirit looked so good. Sam said after the Wisbech game that the lads felt they let the fans down, so what a great response.
In the second half the Sileby manager came and sat next to the commentary team. Not to chat with us but to view his team from the stands. Not sure what he must have made of our comments and he gave his full back a *********** after Alfies first goal, presumably for letting Kingy take the ball off him and put Alfie through.

We stood near the Sileby bench and during the first half the no. 3, "Ash", received a constant barrage of instructions/complaining from the manager. We commented that he would be glad to get over the other side of the pitch in the second half, but noticed that the manager had disappeared after half-time. Obviously he followed"Ash" so that he could continue to harangue him throughout the second half as well.

I forgot to mention that Mal's pics are added to the report, and the stats are updated. There's a good sequence of pics for Séan's goal. It wasn't the best defending of a corner you might see - perhaps a case of trying to stop Dunkley getting his head to it, and ignoring everyone else.
