Ha ha, you tease you! Personally I would still disagree with the appointment. Whilst any appointment is a gamble, this one is of the highest order and didn’t need to be. To win all those games is highly unlikely but just to cover myself I’m putting a 4 match winning accumulator on at the bookies!!

Odd how we all perceived the appointment, for me it was the safe option .

I know football fans have a reputation for being fickle, but you take it to another level!

Calling Richard Maxwell a ball boy has nothing to do with whether or not I am happy with him being appointed.

This is about the board saying 'we know we need someone with experience of this league' and then appointing someone with absolutely no managerial experience of this league.

He doesn't even have experience of being an assistant manager in this league, what about experience as a coach in this league? nope he doesn't have that either.

A ball boy attends every game - therefore it is completely fair to say that in terms of experience - Richard Maxwell's overall experience of this league is equivalent to a ball boy.

Actually, the ball boy possibly has more experience of this league because Richard Maxwell did not attend every game until he took over as interim manager. again this is not about RM's ability, it is about his experience so I am not insulting him when I compare his experience to a ball boy.

The point is - in business you cannot go around saying 'we know we need this' and then not delivering it, it's making false promises, it also gave a false perception that they had realised the mistake that they had made - but then they showed they clearly had not because they appointed someone with even less experience than the man they just sacked.

We can now confirm that the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Society on Wednesday, 2nd November, will be held at Hayden Road, starting at 7:30 pm.

We would like to advise Members to arrive in sufficient time as we are expecting a large attendance.

Please bring your membership card with you.

For those new Members who have yet to receive their membership card, please arrive with ID or a copy of your order confirmation email.

Secondly, we can confirm that questions already received by the Board are being considered; answers will be posted in the Members’ Area 72 hours ahead of the EGM.

Any further questions should be submitted by 6:00 pm on Friday, 28th October, to allow time for consideration and posting to the Members’ Area.
