Things seem very quiet from both Redditch and the Southern League in terms of confirming this game will be at Steel Park. You don't think the Poppies are doing all of this without League approval?

Heard on Talkshite that it is going ahead. 8-)

As of 10pm last night K*ttering had THREE players registered with the Southern League!

In terms of those mentioned in earlier posts, Ashish Kinda, apart from his trial game with AFC, played for Rushden & Higham a couple of seasons back - skilfull lad but very slow - Harry Beckley came to our very first trial at Raunds Manor but was already on Cogenhoe and K*ttering`s books and although he impressed everyone, decided to stay where he was. He`s Nick Ashby`s nephew.

Ash Talbot also played at Rushden & Higham and his younger brother - also a keeper - currently plays for the under-15s.

Seriously Steve, what do tou think their chances of putting out a competitive team is?

If they succeed then it will be a massive blow to KFC moving forward

i heared on radio northants that this is a one of game at corby,,,,reason being is ,if ktfc dont get this game on they will be chucked out the league.ritchie juene is the fall guy if it all goes wrong(he will have to stump up the money) corby also have a bond in place just incase ktfc fans damage the stadium(thinking about it why couldnt they use the old corby ground next door)it was also hinted by corby if it goes well it could be a permanant deal(corby council permitting)

KFC will be fine pal. Im quite confident about that.

But wouldn't you agree that you need the KTFC support to progress?

Seems to be causing dissent amongst Corby Town Fans. Ingram needs additional revenue to clear debts in the region of £250k. The recently formed Corby Town Supporters Trust appear to be supporting this move although they are probably not representative of general fan base judging by many comments on their fans forum.

Although the Southern League still haven't commented, a story on the Redditch site suggests the League has sanctioned the Corby move.

I'm amazed they have allowed this, given the huge precedent it sets. Any other club who doesn't fancy paying their landlord or utility bills mid-season can now arrange to play at an alternate ground without the league being able to stop them. The Landlords themselves will be looking at how they can prevent this happening if the league won't protect them.

I also wondered whether Cousins might try to stop the move, either via injunction or via representations to the Southern League, given he is even less likely to receive his rent going forwards. It looks like he is being considerably more flexible with the Poppies than he ever was with the Diamonds .....

The Poppies fans seem have forgotten where any proceeds of the game on Saturday will go - especially when there are no longer any player wages to find.

Reading through some of the posts on the steelmens forum has been interesting from the point of view of pitfalls that we need to avoid that they have been stitched up with via previous negotiations , ie the fact that they are are fined very month by the brewery because they do not sell enough beer ( this appears to be because of a loan the brewery gave them to fix the upstairs bar that was spent on players), well worth reading. Also they had an agreement with the council for a yearly grant which appears not to have been signed and has now been knocked down to about a third of its original amount, hence there own financial problems
