Well i would have thought today would have given the 2 parties interested in taking over KTFC a good picture of what support they would get at Steel Park appx 500 but no doubt would lose appx 100 going back to Nene Park.

So does 400-500 fans make the finances work, well not at Nene Park is the obvious answer so unless the Savour duo can get out of the lease and move to Steel Park or are mega rich the path still looks like leading to the edge of the cliff.

I don't remember Corby ever waving a cheque book around and enticing away our better players or employing the likes of Talbot. Without realising it Max created a division in local football of the haves and the have nots. That image will always be with NP and perhaps most Poppies fans feel more in tune with fellow strugglers than ever they would have with the Diamonds. NP is a dream of a stadium, facility wise, but it will be forever tarred with the image of bank notes being waved around at the expense of all others. quote from Ploppynet.......

My god let it go won't you? Its that kind of bitterness that will hold you back - you're where you are not because of what Max did, but because various people in your club's history didn't run their business well enough, making bad business decisions which ultimately came to bite you in the arse !! At the expense of all others???? You weren't bleating too much when you pocketed Max's cheque for £85k (a vastly over inflated fee) for Alford were you?

Football is all about the have's and the have nots - look at the Premier League ? Its business F#S !! The above is such a blinkered, stupid and ignorant viewpoint !! I personally don't know of any KTFC fans who drifted over to us; did their gates take some dramatic drop that I'm unaware of when Max started up R&DFC??? Its just the same old story, looking for excuses as to why they're in the mess they're in and blaming others (us) rather than owning up to the real truth and accepting their own deficencies. All I can say is thank god the 600 or so of us it was claimed, by a person who should have known better, would turn to support them proved to be all hot air and bluster.

Man United, Man City, Arsenal..... etc etc - you're enticing better players away from poor old K*ttering by paying your players more than poor old K*ttering can afford, so stop it right now ;) It seems that having resources and ambition to succeed are dirty words at K*ttering.......they loved it when their own millionaire, Ladick, arrived with the promise of cash and success didn't they? They're even now hoping that they'll get money backers that will help them survive - hypocritcs !!

The real world is all about some club's having greater resources than others, as it is in the business world generally. Maybe Newport should watch out with their millionaire backer, K*ttering fans will be accusing them of waving bank notes around next - its a fact of life, get over it !!

If a multi millionaire stepped forward tomorrow and saved them and invested to bring them success I expect they'd all be bitterly disappointed as they would be the club waving the notes around.........yeah, of course they would

Actually I'd say the local rivalry was good for both clubs, it regularly brought 4000 - 5500 out for local derbies. Not forgetting the fees we paid for other players like Stott & Ashby. There'd be nothing wrong with NP if only Max had built income streams from on site businesses. They fell for the dream of a few bad men and now they blame anyone but themselves. I had over 20 happy years before the current facilities were installed, looking up at KTFC as a BIG club with financial backers we could only dream of ; they have short memories.

I love the rivalry between the clubs and I think it was to the benefit of both clubs, thats one of the main reasons I don't want them to go bust - I don't wish them any success on the field, but off it I want them to survive, I miss our games and really hope we can lock horns again at some time in the future .......... I'd also like them to pay their bills and play on a fair playing field with the clubs that do pay their way, not gaining a competitive advantage by continually screwing over their creditors.

Businesses go bust if things don't work out and people lose out, thats unfortunate. To use the system as a way to get out of paying your way is morally wrong !

Of course, if that illusive millionaire does knock on their door tomorrow I fully expect them to tell him/her to get lost ;)

I agree with you about the crowds, and in much the same way clubs in the UCL are benefiting from us bringing far larger followings than many of them have ever had. We're putting money into local football even now - look at our visits to R&H and Wootton, where they had more people attend one match than they had at home in the whole of last year - that can only be good for local football generally.

I absolutely agree with the fact that all supporters of any football club would love a never ending stream of cash pumped in by a wealthy chairman. We too were grateful for what Max did, but, it was his decision and it became expected as the team progressed. The difference between R&DFC and KTFuC is we went on to become a league club. It was great to see 'big clubs' come to Nene park. I too hope they survive, but the supporters need to be realistic and accept that the club has breached many rules, and if there are further sanctions, accept them and appreciate the fact that the club can still operate, albeit in a league lower than they believe they should be in. Football is for fans, not for immoral tax evaders.

@Garygraham27: "Just had update from player still not been paid yet."

That was posted half an hour ago by that director that signed the CVA and RTed by Jon Dunham. Bugger me, there's a surprise, Ladak talking out of his arse about player payments!

Typical isn't it, just as they find some hope with the game being on on Saturday, the story keeps bringing up new twists, personally I still find hard to believe how there actually would be 'investors', unless there's a ploppy fan out there who has recently won the lottery, would not be surprised at all if IL comes out tonight saying the 'deal' (that's if it ever existed) has fallen through. But whatever happens, they'll still find a way to survive past another deadline day
