The boxes in the north stand haven't been used in donkeys years, constantly empty with no use = no revenue gained. Everyone in Nene park atm would fit into one stand so why not try new initiatives?

i hope the board do take into account some of the better ideas flying around this forum.. some may not work but others are guaranteed to have a positive effect..

It always makes me smile when I see people get into a positive mindset and try to think up ideas like this, and thats what makes me so convinced that if the club approach the fans and ask for ideas, a real gem will come to the fore.

Just look at some of the cracking ideas generated in a thread by just a few people, if the club can tap into the collective ideas of say just 40-50 dedicated fans in a more structured way just think of the possibilities. Okay, some won't work for a variety of reasons, but at least they'll be generating ideas and involving the fans.

I know people from the club do look in on here and I hope some of these ideas are considered. I obviously don't know the state of the books, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that we can't survive for long on crowds of 800 or so.

If anyone is reading this board, please act now! We've got two games coming up that are not going to tempt fans down to NP. Next tuesday especially. There is literally nothing to lose.

As a season ticket holder I couldn't give a monkeys if other fans were getting in for peanuts. The club surviving is the main thing and I'd challenge you to find a sane season ticket holder that disagrees.

I'd echo what BR said, as a season ticket holder I couldn't care less if free tickets were doled out from now until the end of the season along with reduced prices, the more the merrier! I think if you asked nearly all season ticket holders would say they give their money up in the summer not only because they're getting better value, but also because they know that they're helping the club through a period of little to no cashflow.

I like the idea of the Project 2,000 (even if it does sound rather gimmicky) and I think it's achieveable considering, according to Wikipedia, Rushden, Higham and Irthlingborough have a combined population of 46,000. With effective marketing then I don't see why we couldn't get 4.5% of that number into the ground on matchdays. I think maybe billboards would cost slightly too much in the short-term but we can still use the E.T and leaflet drops.

As for ideas, does anyone know if we still do soccer schools on matchdays? I remember doing a couple of these back in 2001/2 and included in the price would be 2 match tickets. It means the Club's getting money up-front with the added bonus that the parent of the child's likely to buy food/drink when they're inside the ground. If we're not still offering these then I think they would be a good thing to restart, if we are then marketing them heavily in schools would be a good idea. :)

Whatever the answer to our dwindling support is it is clear that Gary Calder and his marketing people need to think 'outside the box' on this problem and, I agree, they should embrace some of the excellent ideas put forward on this forum.
Maybe the ideas could be co-ordinated in one list and then sent formally to the Mr. Calder? ;)

Anyone got an email address that the ideas should be sent to at the club? Ideally one we know works, or gains a response.

Rachel Roberts is normally quite good at responding, I think - rachel.roberts@rd-fc.co.uk

Could we not offer some sort of deal to businesses for the North Stand Boxes, say a buy one match get two free deal?

Would be a great way for businesses to entertain cliants etc.

I currently have £0.79 in the bank, and have done for the last 5 weeks & sadly in a lot of debt, plus I owe alot of friends and family money that I've had to borrow to get by over the last couple of week,I cant even afford a haircut & I look like a feck tramp & when I go pub to be to miggle I sit there drinking water or not drinking atall (unless good ole stu gets me drink ;) ) so all in all whether the prices were £17 or £6 or whatever I wouldnt be able to come :(
