Sadly luckyfour you have hit the nail on the head and i agree with what you have said. People do have their excuses, i admit i have, as i did in the northampton cup game thread when i had my little rant, working constant backshift all week makes it so difficult to get to midweek games. But do i believe the attendances will be 700+ next year, not really...I hope i am wrong too.

Im sure there are some genuine people who are waiting for next season, but without starting to cause i riot, sadly these days there are too many people that when the going gets tough they abandon ship. It was frustrating to see at nene park, in the good old days there was 4000+, in the decline they jumped and never returned... And there will be people at the end that will say good luck to your club, im off to watch corby who have a nice shiny new stadium who are doing well...

All i am saying is by predicting what seems to be a high number for the first few games may not go according to plan, it really does come down to the team performance at the end of the day, win the league and people will say, wow look at afc i want to support them now, which i think is wrong but hey ho... For all the hard work that the people have done to get this club off the ground, i really do salute you...It makes me so proud to say that i followed rushden and diamonds till the end (and i do say that to people) and now afc from day 1 !!!

I can't get to any youth games, due to working at night. Bring on the UCL, and Saturday football!!!

I think that a good measure of realism will be applied to any plans we make, and a good debate will be held in terms of what we'll charge at the gate next season - we're a members club afterall, yet another great reason to sign up and have a proper say. Needless to say I won't be voting for £17 ;) :D

There will have to be a balancing act needed to ensure we charge an affordable amount that makes us an attractive option to follow, and that brings in the funds we need to run the club efficiently and effectively, but tempts people back to watch us.

I think if you have seen Ralph and the Committee team in action you'll agree that they firstly have the fans at heart in all they do (they ARE fans remember!!), and secondly have a level head on their shoulders. I have great faith and confidence in them all to make sensible proposals for the members to consider, and those proposals will be backed up with sound, logical thinking - because thats the kind of people they are !! They all love this football club and will do all they can to make it thrive and prosper into the future.

I'm excited by that future, you should be too. The young players plying their trade this year ARE our future too, or certainly some of them are. Even when we have a Senior side I shall continue to take in the youth team games, I've really enjoyed them this year.

Keep thinking positive thoughts, there are enough negative ones floating around in this area of Northants at the moment.
