I hope it does hurt the players when we lose because, as a fan, it certainly hurts me when we fail to win.

Didn't go yesterday, first competitive match apart from the evening Huntingdon KO Cup match that I've missed home and away in over 12 months.

Enjoyed the excellent Radio Diamonds commentary nevertheless from Paul and Adam, and the fact that the equipment and internet connection didn't miss a beat ;). Well done lads.

It seemed from a couple of twitter comments from our 'old friend' Mark Lea who apparently was in attendance that our side in his words 'didn't fancy it' yesterday. How correct was that assessment or was it another case, as in the two PNS games, and a few others that we've seen where a side in the bottom half of the table raises their game and puts in 100% effort?

I must admit the Boston players celebrated like they had beaten Chelsea. Which just goes to show that a lot of teams play the name and not the club we are now..............sad really 8-)

Boston raised their game without a doubt. You could see what it meant to them as Bob says.

Yesterday wasn't our day. Greg Ling had a shot in the first half that beat the 'keeper and hit a divot, had it bounced the other way it's in. Matt Gearing had a 1v1 with the 'keeper which he saved well, he was good all game. They go in and it's 2-0 and game over.

We get the deserved equaliser and you could see the Boston players shoulder slump. They score following an error and suddenly the chest are out again.

To say our players weren't up for the game or "didn't fancy it" is preposterous. Was he at the game or tweeting from Tesco's?

Lea always had a reputation for being outspoken on his reporting on the old club for the ET and was banned from attending interviews etc by KC for a period IIRC.

Seems to have tagged onto the new club now.

Mal's pics added to the Match Report.

The number of chances we created in the first half (compared to Boston's one foray into the area) shows that the effort was there - just not the finishing.

Boston had plenty of height in defence, so Russ Dunkley didn't have things all his own way, and obviously we missed the understanding he was building with Alfie (and already has with Fazel as an alternative).

Went through the highlights this morning it is quite astonishing how many chances we had.
I also don't think having a pop at the players on twitter is called for really. We will play worse and win

We have played worse and won already this season, and properly will do again. We were just second best on the day that's all 8-)

I did think that the Boston players got to the ref a bit with their constant calling "Ref, Ref, Ref" every time we got the ball though. 8-)

That was a very low attendance for a Saturday game, i'd imagine only 100 AFC fans made the journey?

The crowd at Boston was still larger than the one that went to watch those Step 2 players strutting their stuff at the Halley Wotsit Park. :D

Probably the only good thing about the afternoon was catching up with Mickey Nuttell, a local and whose son was a sub for Boston.
