I'm sure the decision to play it at Yaxley had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the UCL is based in nearby Peterborough, and that half the UCL board live in Peterborough or South Lincs.

I can tell you that the grounds considered for the final were Cogenhoe, Sileby and Yaxley.
It all depended on which clubs reached the final.
Sileby declined the offer, so it was Cogenhoe or Yaxley, seems like a fair compromise to me.
