Unfortunate for Elliot Sandy who said he'd left us to play at the highest level possible.
Unless there are changes to their squad as a result of this i'd expect Stamford to be a serious threat this season. Ryan Robbins up top is much too good for Step 4, as is Paul Malone in central defence.

Whoopee!
Mr Sandy's tweet about wanting to leave to play at a higher level (for no doubt higher wages) now looks rather silly!
See you next year mate!

The lesson here is Cinderford Town, who were foolish to strive to win the league without the desire to complete at a higher level. They are now being forced to play at Step 3 in the SPL and are holding an emergency meeting today to discuss their future.

straight away thought of what sandy said higher league etc. So I wouldn't be surprised to see lads move away from Stamford now. Lots of time for players to move around yet. It would have to be a big reason to leave us imo .

Stamford AFC dispensed with their captain, Richard Jones, just the other day who is chasing the money at Peterborough Sports. Graham Drury has announced quite a few signing so I agree that Plan 'B' might now come into operation.
Nevertheless a trip to Stamford and their new ground is a far better prospect than going down to Evesham.

$$$ Contrary to popular belief, we don't have money to burn. I've no doubt the Ploppies paid Sandy considerably more than we did, and Stamford will be doing the same.

That or at the time of signing Stamford were believed to be step 3 which is better than step 4? Not sure money is the biggest factor.

Bearing in mind Sandy lives in Kingsthorpe and Hall lives in the Billing area of Northampton they will have an 80 miles round trip on Tuesday and Thursday evenings just to train. Whereas if they'd stayed with us then training is on their doorstep.
However, I'm not disappointed that both have left.

Yeah not disappointed too. Strange move tbh from both. If I was Peaksy and players felt they needed to go I would open the door very quickly and say BYE BYE

. Exciting times ahead for us to get some players

To be fair to them, if they don't want to play for us I personally don't want them around and Peaksy seems to be of a similar opinion. Only 16/17 more days until we release the obtained list!
