We could make our own 'sky blue song' as was once famously sung by Jimmy Hill at Highfield Road:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuX3JTOu ... re=related

I go to quite a few Cov games and i think it gets all the fans going.

I'll have a bash at some lyrics....

"Let's all sing together
Play up White and Blues.
When we sing together
We will never lose.
Kettrin' or Cobblers
Oxford or anyone (ANYONE!)
They shan't defeat us
We'll fight 'til the game is won.

Rushden (clap clap clap) x3

;)
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Please can the lyrics to Robinson's song be changed to, 'you'll never get past Kurt Robbo'. or if anyone has a better suggestion. He doesn't seem to know it's his chant :D, and i never like singing 'you'll never get past albino'

I used to think it was "You'll never get past Abbey noo" which apart from being factually inaccurate, would have also been a good song.

I think we need to adopt this as our club anthem - it could be up there with the greats such as Anfields "You'll Never Walk Alone", Upton Parks "I'm forever blowing bubbles" and Citeh's "Blue Moon"

Its from the musical Man of La Mancha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man%20of%20La%20Mancha) and has been covered by a vast number of famous singers throughout the years, some of which you can see/listen to on the links below. Recently it has resurfaced in popular culture throught the (some would say) definitive recording by Andy Williams, overlaying the Honda "The Power of Dreams" advertising.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgeoNcBDPGU - Frank Sinatra version (gives Williams a bloody good run for his money!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHmhLcZdKCg - Tom Jones version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbTyjVh37yM - Elvis version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AijRBQf-ato - Luther Vandross version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfHnzYEHAow - Peter O' Toole in Man of La Mancha film
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn6pyJynA78 - The definitve Andy Williams version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB_1gPRCLCo - Honda Ad for The Power of Dreams

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go.

To right the unrightable wrong
To be better far than you are
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest, to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To be willing to give when there’s no more to give
To be willing to die so that honor and justice may live

And I know if I’ll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I’m laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star.

Now that is one bloody rousing tune, the quest for hope, reaching for the top, never giving in, fighting to the death to achieve that aim. THAT is who we are now at RDFC, no more "buying" our way to success, its about the fight, the passion, the togetherness of one aim and the courage to give it all to obtain success.

I think Donny Rovers tried this as a tune but not sure if they still use it or not now.

Surely our anthem should be a Marina and the Diamonds song, no? ;)
