Bloody marvellous result. Season's over, Project Nene Park is dead in the water. Poppies fans have a long cold winter of travelling to Nene Park to watch shite footbal to look forward to.

Poppies fans should put pressure on Ladak - he's made a gamble and done his best to take the club forward but it hasn't worked out - get the club back in K*ttering where it belongs. Focus should be on the survival of the club, hopefully they have a get out clause for the lease at NP, go back to RR, slash costs and cut your cloth accordingly - if it means playing football at a lower level then better that than nothing and if it doesn't work then you might as well die at home than in the Nene Park Hospice.

brilliant post lucky four. And I'm with Pigman, had K*ttering showed a little class at our demise, I might have felt a little sorry for them, but as it is I'm delighted with the shit state of affairs they find themselves in. Another potential revenue stream lost and a long hard winter fighting for thier very survival, I shall raise a glass the day they die.

Up the Sutton!!!!
To be fair, Sutton are 2nd in the south, the defeat is funny but there probably isn't that much between a shit BSP and a good BSS/N team. Personally I don't think anything will be more hilarious than the pantomime that was the 5-3 defeat at home to H&Y

I'll dig up the post I made in July about two clubs being fucked over in a few months. It was so ****ing obvious but they put their heads in the sand like we sort of did between January and March and they're clearly going to shit, like we did.

Quick question: Who would you prefer to go down? Northampton or K*ttering?
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Interesting question, both hated RDFC. Both have no real future. N'hampton are fighting a losing battle with the council and at the end of the day is a rugby town anyway. K*ttering are playing 10 miles from K*ttering, being kept alive by a wealthy man who has no idea how to conduct himself in business, and is getting fucked over by KC just like we did. They will both die in the end, K*ttering sooner rather than later

Poppies for me, not bothered about cobblers to be honest.

What will KC do with Nene Park? Or will he invest in the poppies?

I have to say that I had a great day yesterday, I noticed the K*ttering result come through after the F1 qualifying, then watched the England game, finished the night off with a few cans and a Chinese with friends. It just all fell together as the day unfolded if you know what I mean.

Good times.

Who knows what he would plan if there is no team willing to pay to play football at Nene Park? To make the stadium pay it's way it would need to be used every Saturday, football one week and perhaps for rugby the next week and that would need a team at least at the level and drawing power of Bedford Blues and can't imagine that they would be interested to relocate from Goldington Road. To redevelop the ground for commercial/industrial purposes would cost millions and I can't see how this would be viable in the current economic situation. He would have a real dilemma if KTFC decided that they couldn't continue to play there or went out of business.
I also couldn't see him willing to invest in the Ploppies. Once bitten twice shy I reckon.

If you owned the facilities and K*ttering were the backup plan, logic would say that, faced with potential lose of the second club, you may dig deed to ensure your asset (facilities) would survive.

it's a shame KC never felt the tennants he already had were worthy of greater protection. If K*ttering decide project Nene Park is a failure and relocate back to Rockingham Road KC will only have himself to blame, and personally I hope the stadium destroys him.
