So who would you blame for the destruction of the club? I know I shouldn't ask to even get drawn in, but to blame the fans would prove that you are clueless about the whole affair.

I wouldn't solely blame the fans of course, that would be wrong. Partly i would though.

As an outsider looking in, there seems to be numerous reasons why the club failed. If you hark back to the beginning then you could technically blame Max Griggs for bankrolling the club and then doing one, leaving a club with poor support and unable to fund itself. The only reason it lasted so long was due to Griggs money, when that stopped the downward spiral began. You guys obviously blame the ET for not covering you enough, bollocks, if they did cover you more would it have saved you? Nope. Plus it is a K*ttering based paper, what do you expect them to do? Same with the Chron. That was the problem with Rushden & Diamonds location, middle of nowhere basically inbetween towns.
Of course a large chunk of blame lies with KC and the Beasants. Also with your trust and that HT woman.

How the f*** does it get so dirty so quick, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in the past 3 years

Don't know about the chemist but he's always been a customer of Baclays Bank..!

Show me one supporter who blames the ET for the demise of our club? There's a huge amount of critcism for the ET on here, and with good reason, but there's a massive difference between criticising them and blaming them for what's happened. :roll:

Yes point taken and well put. It does come across as very bitter and also as pointing the finger.

Every set of fans believe there is a media conspiracy against their club. It's absolute bollocks.

1. They actually print what Ted writes on the comments section of their website (like you he's just getting a kick out of winding up people).

2. When the situation was crying out for some investigative journalism they were nowhere to be found. (Where as if they had tried to uncover some of the money problems/weird goings on they would've got increased sales and a lot of praise).

3. Quite often in the past their match reports (our's and K*ttering's) have just been rewritten posts from here and Poppynet.

I personally think our Chronicle and Echo report on Cobblers very well indeed. My only issue would be is they sit on the fence too much, however i totally understand why.
