Well that was good advice

The new guy looked like exactly what we needed, and Harrowby were fortunate it wasn't a cricket score in the end. Gilsenan's goal was a very deliberate 25 yard volley placed right in the top corner, sheer class. MOM for me was Dent who was everywhere, but Gilsenan, McBride and obviously Alfie all played their part.
Around 200-250 there i'd say. Very enjoyable day.
Totally agree, Gilsenan made the difference in midfield, held the ball well and put in some nice through balls.
I must thank the Harrowby officials and volunteers, who were very friendly and courteous 8-)

I've added Mal's pics to the match report -

Anyone remember "spot the ball" ? I think the shots of the Gilsenan goal might be a challenge if the ball was blanked out.

It was indeed - I thought he was the best player on the park, and capped his performance with a good goal and an excellent assist.
Hopefully Alfie will be determined to bag a hat-trick in the next game, and seal a MoM credit.

Gotta be said their gk was brilliant. Took all the banter from us and all in good humour. Pity about number 2

Saw him play for Corby when they played Glasgow Rangers in a friendly last season. I believe he is related to Corby's ex manager, Graham Drury.

'Fuckin 'ead it' was a personal highlight from their goalie and I agree he took the banter well, even mocked the number 2's weight at one point with us

Very enjoyable match, they had a couple of early chances and their no. 11 wasn't bad either.
I'd say about 250-300 were there. Very friendly place and drinks were quite cheap. Would definitely go back, they were pleased they had a big crowd for their groundsman which was nice for them.
