I see Matty Freeman is having a dig on Facebook and seems to have loads of agreements, he never mentioned how his reserves pissed in the de bank or their played mooned at us, but if they did it doesn't matter because they donated to dales fund.

I don't do Facebook, never heard of Twatty Freeman, so not bothered what he/it thinks. They should be thankful of the support we took to their ground, if there is a next time, we should boycott it and let them share the coffers from the 12 supporters that bother to watch them each home game. :x

I suspect if you spoke to Kings Lynn fans, they would tell you they got much of the same reaction, as we are getting now from the majority of other UCL club supporters (Although I suspect most of those comments agreeing are from Whitworth fans, or K*ttering fans) or the same ones that slagged Kings Lynn off.

To be honest, I don't think our fans really gave two hoots about Whitworths (I know I certainly didn't) that was until their reserves decided to turn up & make idiots of themselves, of which they showed no remorse afterwards, even going as far as gloating about it, on the UCL Facebook page.

Why doesn't everyone just boycott the UCL face book page?
It it just there to take the piss and for the Trolls to get a bite. The other site died a death because non of our fans went on there, let's do the same with the FB page.

Our friends in the UCL have no class, please don't give them the bait they need to feed off 8-)

You should set an example and unfriend them. ;) I did it a couple of weeks ago, it's nice not having to see stupid arguments.

I'm afraid I've bitten due to the stupidity of it all. So much hatred and jealousy towards Diamonds that they're all liking and agreeing with a post that has no point.

Just when I thought the previous games had been swept under the carpet the Whitworths manager of all people brings it all back to the fore. I despair.

Sargent's getting sacked soon. Taking a team from top six to bottom six in less than a season and then trying to deflect his shortcomings by having a pop at us.

Nothing surprises me with the Whitworths management, I'm just glad they are nowhere near our club.

They need to show a bit of class, you'd never seen Starms or Peaksy posting the stuff on facebook like Matty & Steve do.

Like you say, it is just down to jealousy, the majority obviously don't like newcomers disturbing their cosy little league.

I have to agree with Bob's Bitch - unfriending the UCL page is the only way forward really. I'd done it once before but then started following them again and this were relatively peaceful for a while but now it seems to have all started up again. The bottom line if we cannot win and will never change the minds of those that post their anti-AFC rhetoric.

Mr Freeman does actually make some fair points, unfortunately he loses all credibility by then resorting to cheap shots and being very selective and one-sided with his recollections (to be expected I suppose). Similarly Mr Beaman made some fair points in the same thread but again undoes it all by coming across very arrogant and making wildly inaccurate assumptions about our club - something many of them constantly do about us but they are excused as they are just 'fishing', so that makes it perfectly ok, or the other classic pre-qualify your remarks by saying either 'I have nothing against AFC but..' or 'I used to be a Diamonds supporter but..' then you're perfectly clear to say/make up what the hell you like and as soon as we try and defend ourselves as they don't have anything to counter it with we're either arrogant or it's 'oh look I got some bites there'.

I picked up Mr Zupp on this the other day when he chastised us then proceeded to do the very thing he was chastising us for in the same post. Unsurprisingly he never replied.


We will never change their minds and the truth is of absolutely no interest to them, one of our players earlier on in the season had pointed out that we didn't pay any more than some other clubs (apparently the argument against that is some don't pay at all, which means you can completely ignore the fact that some do and pay more) yet they still go on about it and since Sam very eloquently posted on there recently about it all, they generally just ignore any rational arguments they don't like then start again in the next thread.


So, the best thing to do is let them get on with it and ignore them. I'm sure they'll have some fun with my post, thrown my toys out the pram etc but actually as I dictate this to my personal full time AFC secretary I'm pretty laid back about it all and past caring. Anyway I have to go now and get on with the one and only job I do for the club.
