The MOM choice is probably the first this season i'd disagree with. Gillingwater should have been nailed on MOM surely? 3 assists from CB all of which were fantastic. He was outstanding and some of his through balls were top drawer, particularly the one that set Jake away for the 4th.

Assured performance by all anyway, although Raunds were really very poor (again).
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Although Raunds never presented any real threat to Tom Cross and our defence it is interesting to see that they were one of the few teams to take points off Eynesbury during their recent unbeaten run drawing 0-0 at Eynesbury back in February.

I see K*ttering had same attendance as Raunds, 568, for their final game (ever?) with "pay what you want admission".

Formic wrote:It was really impressive to see how well the lads coped with the rearranged defensive formation. I thought Jake Gillingwater was able to influence the play more from a central role, and you can see why he is a frustrated midfielder with the quality of some of his through balls - and his assists. Sam Brown made an impressive return from injury, and King and McBride look a good partnership when we are dominating play. I thought the ref deserved a mention too for a much better game - he could easily have booked Aaron King, but interpreted a couple of his challenges as "firm but fair".
I thought the ref had a good game, only make one decision against us which I thought was wrong early on. The lineswoman got one wrong early on tho, for flagging Alfie offside from one of Cross's monster goal kicks, as you cannot be offside from a goal kick! Cross then asked the ref the question, who responded by saying "yea, my fault".

According to someone I spoke to at half time they said that Alfie was clearly offside for his goal so it appears she's struggling with the 'off side rule'. ;)

Accept your camera evidence Jon, I was in no position to judge as I was behind the goal.

Yeah, considering the two previous games where he gave us nothing, I thought he had a good game yesterday.

At one point he told a Raunds player that if he didn't shut up he would be going that way! (pointing to the changing rooms)

Just reading the match report, at the start it say's Parky has had a reoccurrence of his medical condition that could keep him out for the rest of the season. This is blow as I may fear that could be the last time we've seen him in a Diamonds shirt! :(
