No, we played Cambridge City twice in season 1995-6.
Of course we did!!
That's a very positive point then. We have a 100% record against teams who have played both the old & new Clubs
I'm in no way negative, but I'm a realist and if I thought we didn't have an f in prayer I may not say it directly but would leave the odd big space for reading between the lines. This is our biggest challenge yet but that's what we want & need to progress & given a few of our squad could hold their own in step 2/3 coupled with our current form it's come at the right time. It's a game we could loose by 2/3 but then again it's one we are capable of winning. Need a big showing both on & off the pitch. 12th Man it's your most important game to date.
Will be good for the 12th man, as they seem to have 2 decent sized covered terraces at both ends, it might feel like the old away days with RDFC!
And while obviously we had this discussion before Saturday and now those who predicted we'd win have the benefit of hindsight, no one can deny that this is a step up from Cambridge City, especially with the lack of a home advantage this time. I'd fancy our chances against any non league team at home, obviously we know with many of our players being capable of playing at a higher level, the gap between the teams isn't as big as it is on paper, but I feel with our mixed away form this season, away from home will be a struggle. My heart says we'll nick a 2-1 win and carry our dream run on to the First Round Proper, but my head says it'll be a step too far and a comfortable 4-1 win for the home team. We'll have to see, it'll be a great day out, great crowd again and whatever happens we've had a very decent cup run for newcomers.

interesting, certainly made it hard for themselves against poor opposition. I was wondering what their strikers situation was considering they have only scored 8 goals in 10 games. Sounds like they need to get a striker in their team, Hopefully if we can defend the best we have all season (which we are going to need to) and with they poor firepower we can at least get a draw.

I hope Dover's manager didn't send his scout to Runcorn!

For anyone who is going to have a wee flutter on the lads Saturday, I know I am ;) we're priced at 6/1. Thought it would be slightly higher but not bad, Dover are 1.4 for the win!
