Apparently their entrepreneurial owner has the funds to buy the site they've earmarked for their new ground, so if he has pockets that deep I'm sure a few more quid onto the wage bill (and that £200K operating loss that Brownie referred to) won't hurt.
Begs the question why they needed that NP-debt-clearing whip round in the first place if the owner had the cash in his back pocket all along. . .
Anyway, as has been widely stated, they'll still win the league despite last night's shock loss (and with their powerfully assembled squad, that was a shock) and to be honest it'd be good to see them competing against tougher teams again, and managing the investment challenges that will bring.

Because their clever owner only included the inflated wage bill and transfer fees in last season's budget, and not all the outstanding debts that they had to pay off as well.
It's a new way of running a business; just invest money in the area of the business that you're interested in, and (I need to be careful how I phrase this next bit)
amorally obtain the required money to finance the remaining areas of the business that you don't want to spend your own money on.

It is quite bizarre how they are still having to appeal to fans to pledge money to pay off their CVA - and they aren't yet half-way through that - and yet have the significant gate receipts and huge budgets for facilities and players. It will be interesting to see if the CVA does end up giving their creditors a significant payoff, or whether most of it is taken up with professional fees.

I can't imagine that ending well if the owner decides to pop off at some point in the future - it's nice to know at least that it won't happen to us again.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news OD, not sure where Jerry is but was not on 18 strong list of signed players given out by Bedford prior to start of season and he has played no part in any of the 3 games played so far. Aaron has been mostly used in a more forward role playing behind Liversedge, midfield most likely to be made up of Josh Winters and Sam macrae. Will try and find out about Jerry tonight as going to watch the Eagles.
That's a real shame.

Significant? It was only 10p in the pound anyway, so with fees that's probably 5 or 6p? Hardly worth the bother for the creditors?
