Re: 20th April - Hillier Cup Final
I am pretty sure we will see Joe Ackroyd and Matt Pinder in the squad
Re: 20th April - Hillier Cup Final
After a 1-0 defeat to previously bottom Bedworth what sort of team will K*ttering put out next Wednesday, they play Bideford at home tomorrow which should be 3 points but then so should last night have been, Redditch who are 2nd away on Monday then finish away to mid table Dorchester next Saturday, given it`s chucking it down with rain at the moment any football at Latimer Park tomorrow could be in serious doubt. Presume as is the normal rule, Cup comps take priority so Wednesday will happen whatever, and if they loose tomorrows game to the weather they will have to play Monday, Wednesday, either Thursday or Friday then again on Saturday.

K*ttering's game tomorrow is off, so they play Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
Think it's fair to say they won't be putting out a first team for the final!

Re: 20th April - Hillier Cup Final
What with our player unavailability due to injuries and cup-ties, and the news now that K*ttering are playing in what will certainly be a vital league game the day after, this final is going to be a farce.
Shame really, could have been a good occasion for both clubs if the scheduling hadn't have been absolutely ****ing ridiculous.

No reason why this cup final couldn't have been played a month ago. Cobblers might not have agreed to stage the game but I'm sure many other venue's would.BartonRaz wrote:What with our player unavailability due to injuries and cup-ties, and the news now that K*ttering are playing in what will certainly be a vital league game the day after, this final is going to be a farce.

I don't care what side we put out - if they wear the shirt then they'll have my 100% support!
It'll be an occasion - it's a cup final and maybe a great opportunity for some of our young players to get some valuable experience in a cup final in front of a decent crowd in a proper stadium !
They'll be playing the scum, and whatever side they put out I'll want to beat them

Re: 20th April - Hillier Cup Final
Looking at the players that played (or were unused substitutes) in our two Hillier Cup matches so are eligible to play in the Final I would expect our team to be:-
Finlay, Wilkinson or Butt, Dolman, Ashton, Gordon or Hipwell, Harris, Quigley, Hall or Richards, Liversedge, Stevenson and Hoban.
Substitutes: Vitue, Pinder, Ackroyd plus one from the above.
I have assumed that Wilkinson and Gordon would feature although dual registered with Cogenhoe. I'm a little unsure of the current status of Butt and Hipwell who have not featured in the squad recently.
