To be honest, if it was in the ET there's a fair chance he may not have even said it at all!

That's a stupid post. The issue stopped being about a single game when posters started calling for wholesale changes. A season is eight months long, to build a club from nothing a lot longer. Yet we have the most ridiculous posts after a bad run of six games.

A year ago today promotion was secured from the UCL. If anyone was offered play-offs going into April they'd have all took it, perhaps not OD#² but he's deluded.
Not sure how I'm deluded. A few weeks ago I was one of the lead voices on here championing the fact we should be delighted with the play offs when people were moaning we weren't going to win the league.

And yup we did, and I personally haven't criticised one player nor the management :) Dowlos essay was the best thing written on this feed, but at the same time its been nice to see some of the other fans from the RDFC forum days give some tough opinions too. Whatever you say, fans forums are certainly at their best and most entertaining when times get hard, although I feel sometimes people are looking to say something rather than have something to say. We will get through this blip. What's happened is a freak occurance. We have signed players that have won this division before and for some reason it's gone royally tits up. Why that is I don't think is clear cut. The two options are probably no chemistry on the pitch and poor coaching off it. Not sure any of us will truly be able to determine which of those caused this, but hopefully we will still scrape a play off place and find some form just in time. I'm still hopeful.

That's a stupid post.
Can a factual remark be stupid?

Not sure how making the observation I did has ended up with me being encouraged to join the board.

Phew..... I'm absolutely exhausted reading that lot - feel as though I need to go and lie down in a darkened room. Some very good comments but also some not so good. We need to get behind the players and Peaksy with hope and determination for the last four games. Que sera, sera - if you don't know what that means then I suggest you "google" and search for "Doris Day" - ok I guess I may be showing my age a little! :clapping:

Yep, for the reasons I alluded to.

I think you two are from the "be glad we have a team" group . Zzzzz you could copy half of that post and post it in the next or so when we have a bad spell.

Forget what others think dowlo. We the loyal fans know what's going on and it's a bit more than going through a bad spell.

Losing bunting is massive for us. We had a spine in the side finers ,dolman ,bunts (you could always hear bunts bolocking the team) Lorraine which never stopped running and well could say Berwick as he always gave 100%. Now we have a side without a spine and I think that sums it all up.....
You should all be glad you have a team. Bad spells are going to happen. They happened for Rushden & Diamonds, they happen for all teams. It's how you react to them that defines a club and at the moment there are too many knee jerk reactions calling for the manager to be sacked, calling players rubbish.

You for example Steve, 11th March you hailed the signing of Elliott Sandy as "massive", yet on the 12th you were asking what he was doing on the pitch. Stevenson 's signing got you "so excited" and you commended Peaksy on"a great bit of business" in January.

Yet here at the beginning of April everyone's rubbish.

Quite clearly you don't have a clue what's going on, evidenced by your quoting of a spine of five players, three of which are still in the team, one is injured and the other has only scored two goals in ten UCL Div 1 games.

We all know sport is emotive but everyone needs to keep a bit of perspective.

The alternative is to put yourself up for the board and change things from within rather than moan (stupidly in most cases) from without. management, players and board are there to be shot at. they know that when they take on the role, but I've yet to see anyone post a credible alternative.

I find this ridiculous, especially as it is twelve months to the day since promotion from the UCL was won.
