Re: Desperate measures.....
I guess we'll see tomorrow just how much the Ploppy faithful want their club, as we well know, being faced with losing the club you love forever is a horrid experience - they should turn out in the 1,000's tomorrow to show what the club means to them. Who knows, a massive attendance might attract someone to part with their cash if they can see there is something to work on? I honestly don't think they're dead and buried yet !
I dislike Ladick even more now because he has me feeling a tiny teeny bit sorry for them. I guess I can't separate the feelings I had when KC wound us up, it brings it all back, the feeling of dread and helplessness - if that happens to them I hope they have fans who will step up and muster a phoenix side and compete against us next season, they have more time than we did and look what has been achieved by us in these past few months.
Whats the point of rivalry if you have no rivals? I hope they get through this because I'm a football fan first and foremost and don't want to see any club (except that lot at MK) go bust, that said I'll shed as many tears as they did for us if they do !!

Grimsby are allegedly having a lot of difficulty at the moment as well, seem to be rumours about their players not playing tomorrow. Could be a slimline game.

My step son just told me he had heard about some German investors at K*ttering who were interested, led by a gentlement called Jurgen Bust.

If they were to go back to K*ttering then fine, I'd be pleased to see them survive. By while at Nene Park I want to see them die, quickly. I still don't think the're in such a bad way as we were 12 months ago though.

From Ploppynet -
"It would appear that we may also have to give some of the boys a lift to Fleetwood on Tuesday as the company which generally provides the team coach is currently awaiting settlement of their account"
Fans are organising a bucket collection today for a 'players travelling fund', supporters being asked to give players lifts to games and players not expecting to be paid. The similarities between what happened to us and what's happening there continue.
I feel for their fans.....no, really I do....

Great idea on Ploppynet for getting folk to NP.
Hi, I am new to this forum but have a few ideas to help you with bus transportation of our supporters.
I am very experienced in coach organisation and I know for an absolute certainty that if you only offer one fixed service it is very restrictive to people and will not use it, it will not fill up and will run at a loss.
Make the service much more frequent, flexible, far reaching and with great value then people will want to use it. You may run at a loss to begin with, but once the service is seen to be so good then people will decide not to take their cars, pay parking fee's and would choose the frequent and reliable bus service that can fit in with all plans of supporters.
The hire of three buses that would run a constant circular route around Desborough, Rothwell, K*ttering, Barton, Burton and all villages inbetween and along the route would commence from 10.30am and continue until the final 14.15 social club departure at to arrive at Nene Park prior to kick off.
Once someone had purchased a day or season bus ticket they could for example get on at Desborough at 10.30, hop off at the social club at Rockingham Road if they chose, hop on the final departure or any in between, or even opt to go direct to Nene Park with no stops at all.
It would make it so flexible and easy it would be impossible for supporters to not want to use it.
The three coaches would remain at Nene Park with staggered departures until a final one at 19.00.
I am more than happy to plan the route for you if you negotiate a fee for 3 coaches from a local company.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Some doubts over the possible length of lease now, claims they have been sold a pig in a poke and not told the full truth. Now 12 months ago around this time we were sold "debt-free" . . . .
