Don't forget there are various transaction charges that can't be refunded.

Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:Got a question from a potential donation maker. If we do not raise the £250,000 to save the club, what happens to the money?

I presume it's one of 3 options:

1) All money is returned.

2) All money is used to set up a pheonix club

3) Donaters have the choice.
I was under the impression that it would be number 2? I hope it is, even if in the end people have donated to something different to what they thought they were donating to.

It depends what the donators are told when they make the donation, I should have thought. If they make a donation to save the present club and are not told that in the event of failure the money will go to a phoenix club, then they are entitled to ask for it back - which means proper records have to be kept of every donation so they can be returned! If they are told it's either to save the present club OR to go to a phoenix club, then everything is hunky-dory.

Some might want to argue that calling it "Save R&DFC" satisfies both conditions, implicitly, on the grounds that setting up a phoenix club with the same name in the vent of liquidating the present club IS saving R&DFC anyway.

I hope that helps....

I see Wilmington Hammerheads FC from America have donated. For anyone as sad as me, Wilmington is a small town not much bigger than Wellingborough in North Carolina where One Tree Hill is filmed ;) .

Yeah this prompted me to tweet a load of US Soccer teams... no response.

BTW if anyone is interested, discounting the £2205 square we've raised £605 from pixels so far. Not bad.... but needs to be more.

Damn, seems even tweeting like mad at half 3 in the morning doesn't get #RDFC trending!!

What's the deal with the large £2000 block of pixels reserved, is that going to go through or is it just some cruel sod joking around?
