So proud of the lads. They all put their bodies on the line and ran themselves into the ground. The better team probably won, but our boys were immense and deserved better than to lose the game in that manner. McBride, Newman, Merrill and Deakin were outstanding but it's unfair to single anybody out as they all deserve great credit.

I dont think we'll face a team as strong as Ashington in the UCL at either level.

I didn't think Ashington were very good TBH.

In the league Oadby beat Eynesbury 1-0 and Sileby also won, so there's a bit of a gap between us now and the top 3 but we've got a game or 2 in hand against them.

It was a great team performance on perhaps one of the worst days to go down to 10 men - early in a second half where it was already going to be a challenge against a strong wind.
