I actually thought it was going to be less than the 319 given. It was quite clearly our lowest attendance of the season as predicted. Lack of bodies in the PDB, in the Peter Ebdon stand and only a handful free standing inbetween those two stands. Still, an excellent attendance all things considered IMO.

I think that there are always a few people that gain access without paying who enter the ground via the car park, not Diamonds supporters I would add. I feel that this will be far easier for stewards to monitor next season once the turnstiles are relocated in the summer to the end of the newly erected fence in the gap between the end of the clubhouse.

Must say that i thought Lance had his best game for us so far. On the attendance , Joan had a text from Non League Dave ( a groundhopper who often comes to our games ) who was at Rugby in the southern league and their gate was approx 150 and they now lie 2nd in their league. Puts our gate even more in perspective, i thought it was very good last night in the freezing cold and with England on TV as well

The attendance last night was very good considering the circumstances. As a good comparison there were two matches in the Southern League Premier (Step 3), where we aspire to be in a few years time. There were a mere 80 in attendance at Arlesey Town and just 128 at Hemel Hempstead Town.
Put's our excellent support in perspective, eh? ;)

The 309 did not include for the ten in hospitality hence it was updated to 319.
Should really be updated again to 320 actually, my dad turned up at halftime after they announced 319 ;)

Or the two that accompanied one of the match officials. ;)

This has always been a thorny subject since we came into this league. A lot of clubs seem to turn a blind eye to this sort of behaviour, but my argument is "It is starving clubs from revenue"
It is a very corinthian spirit (sic) but ultimately the clubs suffer through lack of money. 8-)

Thought it was an unconvincing victory, but its three points at the end of the day, and we are top of the league! (for a few hours at least!)
Special mention has to go to the girl who was on Lino duty, she was a bit of alright wasn't she!? ;) She did smile at the chant "Can you lino every week?"

We've had her Dad lino at least twice, Olney away and a home game that I can't recall.
Her brother is also a qualified official so we could see a family team of officials in the not to distant.
She's running the lino at the Ladies s-f next Wednesday, so the answer to the chant is 'Yes, she can'
