Possibly so, as his 5 assists might show, but his main job is to score goals, and in 13 games he's only managed to find the net when we already have four on the board.
I think that's a tired old argument now and opposite to the way modern football is going. You can tell by the number of players that have scored this season that goalscoring is a team responsibility and the work of the forwards is to take chances in the final third, bring other players into the game all over the pitch and to be the first line of defence when the ball is in transition. Very few forwards now play in the lines between the penalty boxes, which is especially true in our team as we have wingers who like to cut inside meaning they need forwards to be able to pull wide and make the width, and get the defence out of balance and a central midfielder who has scored many of his goals this season thanks to work done in creating openings from the forwards.

I think that would require, as a minimum, for us to be playing our best two strikers up front.
But who are they? ;)
On current form Joseph and Lorraine.
I would choose Dunkley and Lorraine up front, with Turner on the bench to be first replacement if either is unavailable or has to play in another role. The pairing yesterday didn't work together at all well, with quite a bit of bickering when they failed to link up with each other. They had shown promise in the early stages of the Wisbech cup game, but it really fell apart yesterday.
If you say a strikers main job is to score goals, surely Turner and Lorraine should start up front? They are the two top goalscorers.

Not sure whose comment you're referring to there, but Turner has only scored 5 times since the middle of October, and one of those should have been given to Lorraine (Wisbech in the UCL KO Cup). Top goalscorer yes, but hardly in-form. Albeit he's not really been given the opportunity to get into any sort of form.

Wrong post. Turner and Lorraine are our top goalscorers so surely based on that they should play?

No not always. Should go on current form. Lorraine and joseph should get the nod for tomorrow, but I'm sure tommy will get the nod.

Lorraine played CM last time out and Joseph wasn't at his best. Just proves that everyone's idea of who to puck is different doesn't it?

Fair enough on Lorraine, I didn't make the long buckby match. Two forwards will play regardless of form so a winning team should not be altered if no change is forced

One hand now firmly gripping the title on goal difference. Does it get presented on the day/ night it gets won or the last game of the season?
