Hmmmmmm really tough one Robin !! I can't even look at the ground at the moment as I drive past it, the thought of sharing it after what has gone on is too difficult for me to comprehend at the moment.Three of Diamonds wrote:Seems the penny's beginning to drop on Poppynet.
Here's a scenario. IF KC sold the site to Ladak, would you be prepared to consider a groundshare at NP (if offered) ?
I guess I would want to see a tenancy agreement that has been gone over by at least 3 top solicitors to make sure we're not going to get shafted by certain people, I wouldn't want to be saddled with any of the running costs either, just rent the pitch/facilities on a match by match basis, but it would pain me to do so as I know I'd be contributing to certain people's wealth - plus I still think we'd need a solution post 2015, it'd only be a short-term measure.
My knee jerk reaction would be one to tell them to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine frankly, but I'd need to put my emotions aside and have a far more objective look at what was offerd and what benefits it gave us. If certain people were to tell me night is black I'd have to look out the window to check !! Thats how much confidence I have in them !
I'd need to mull this one over long and hard, but I don't think an offer is very likely anyway.

Heres another Scenario, Sadact sells and KC sells and new Owners request AFC to ground share with K*ttering at Nene Park to bring the communities together to use Nene Park.

A massive part of me wants nothing to do with NP ever again to be honest, of course if there were new owners................who knows !

If things transpired in the example.
If the ground was known as "Nene Park" and the name / branding on the PDB / DR end was removed, and other names badges were removed, it would then be a community ground, that would become an option for both clubs.

It is still known as Nene Park and the PDB is now the Dale Roberts Stand so thats not going to offend us, frankly the only rebranding is putting AFC Badges around the stadium along with the Kettrin Badges.Dirty Boy wrote:If things transpired in the example.

If sadact goes and KC goes i could see the idea working but and its a big but, is there anybody out there with the funds to make such a move.

You would still have extensive maintenance problems bearing in mind very little has been done since 2003/4 apart from some external painting and half-hearted cleaning of the external cladding. Even the pop up watering system for the pitch now no longer works!Biggles wrote:

Nobody has had any success at 'sweating the facilities' and even now some deluded Ploppies fans think revenue can be made out of NP. Let's face it just opening up Strikers in the evenings was never supported by the locals.

So who did win money on saturday then, those who were brave enough?? I had £20 on it and won £50Olly wrote:Looks like a lot of people won't be disappointed tonight (Grimsby were the 2nd most betted on team on oddschecker last night), though I had my money on them winning by 4 or more goals, looks a bit unlikely now and their team is hardly Weymouth standard even if they haven't been able to fill the bench

Sweated, I don't think the facilities under KC have seen a slight perspire :(
Did anyone ever see them marketed and know the prices to hire them :?:
My wife did actually enquire for a couple of events she was planning and could not believe how much it cost to hire the rooms and food rates compared to facilities nearby.
A group who had meetings there eventually pulled out due lighting issues.
It is a crying shame that the place is being left to rot year by year but then again if it falls down saves on demolition costs and if scrap values remain high may get more money from that now that the rental income will shortly fall short.
