People laughed when we were handing out contracts to players at Step 6, but Step 6 AFC Mansfield have just given a contract to Jimmy Ghaichem, taking him from Step 4 Scarborough Athletic where he was a regular.
They're the breakaway Mansfield club aren't they? They're doing well in the Vase and this is their first season at this level.

Why would he want to do that when he can play in the Premiership with 'Boro next season whilst Palace will be back in the Championship.
Of course he would get a much higher press/tv exposure at Palace, and he could get to meet the Queen.
