Rivalry?, football rivalry?. It's just not important is it.

I was at the K*ttering match against Chasetown last night when i heard the sad news regards the death of Dale Roberts. All of a sudden the match going on in front of me lost any importance it may have had.

Dale Roberts was a young goalkeeper who was professional in every sense. A fantastic goalkeeper who in every game he played against K*ttering Town would always take the banter well and at the end of the game turn and applaud our fans. That always struck me as the actions of a decent young man.

I am a K*ttering Town fan but i am also a football fan and this is all just so tragic. Football gets put into prospective when a young man who had his whole life and his career ahead of him gets it all taken away far, far to early.

My god bless you and may you rest in peace Dale. Heart felt condolences go out to all your family, friends and everyone who knew you.

Dale's untimely death seems to have affected the wider football community and is testimony to the respect that many have for him. He seemed to have a real passion for the game and was utterly professional, polite and knew how to behave at all times.
My thoughts are with his family and close friends who must be having difficulty in comprehending the sad loss of a loved one.
RIP Dale you will never, ever be forgotten at Nene Park.

I travelled to the game last night and no one was sure of the reason for the game being called off.
When my friend checked the web on the way back and broke the news to me I was devastated, it's absolutely heart breaking news. I still can't believe it has happened. A great young goalkeeper who always played with a smile on his face and was a credit to his family. I think the renaming of the north/south stand would be a great idea to remember Dale.
Gone but not forgotten R.I.P Dale.

Absolutely gutted to hear the news yesterday, If we even need a reminder of our own immortality it's the death of someone taken from us with so much of his life in front of him.

A great ambassador for this club and football.

RIP Dale, you'll be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to Dales family and friends.

I was totally shocked to hear the news last night. My thoughts are with his immediate family, and with his extended family at Rushden & Diamonds.

Dale was a fine keeper and a fine young man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and watched him play. The level of reaction from the wider football community is a tribute to him.

I hope that, in due course, the Club will be able to organise some form of lasting memorial to him.
