cracking meeting last night,well done to all involved and the chap who hired the centre,a big thanks .i think all the people who couldnt attend last nights meeting really must do their dambdist(sorry for spelling )to get to the next one and show your support,it was nice to see so many turn out............can you imagine if all the people who where there last night turned up at the dog and duck on a monday night to watch the lads ,wouldnt it be fantastic ,we would not only be the 12th man,but 13th,14th and 15th,C,MON YOU WHITES

We said it would be a good idea to throw any unwanted non-sterling coins or notes into a bucket.

With peaple returning from their holidays etc, I'm sure we can start doing this and raise some extra funds for AFC.

Sounds like a very decent idea to me!

Also if its not already been mentioned, of course a big message from the meeting was 'spread the word' and I was thinking when the inevitable happens with RDFC, that should be a good time to 'spread the word' about AFC R&D, as no doubt we'll be almost headline news like we were when we were kicked out the conference.

i think one of the things next season is we ought to go round to grounds that feature perhaps ex diamonds, with bucket collections, with a flag with our shirts and raise the profile that way. it also means we get to watch some football on a saturday.

Well it didn't take long for someone to start bitching.

I do not know the history of the man but know doubt he has his enemies and back stabbers, however he has the contacts within the game to get our new team started and he has about 1 month to do it.

Steve Whitney runs the Non-League Daily website. He is a journalist and was Wellingborough U18s manager when i was there.
