Does anyone think it's totally out of the question that tomorrow's attendance at Hayden Road will top the previous best for UCL Division 1 of 1150 recorded for the Whitworth/Wellingborough Christmas Eve 2005 derby encounter?

Possible, but I would suggest we'll be looking more at the 900-1000 mark tomorrow. But hey ho, even that's a terrific figure for the UCL.

I agree, but with the currant bun predicted to be high in the sky, talk of plenty ex-RDFC fans taking in their first AFCRD match, recent media coverage etc. I'm thinking it just may top four figures. ;)

i don't think we'll top the record tomorrow, (i thought the record was 1050 but not 100% sure). I think we could break the record on boxing day.

Huge opening day attendance for Diamonds
Division One newcomers AFC Rushden & Diamonds kicked off life in the National League System by attracting a massive gate of 784 for their first competitive match on 18th August. Visitors Thrapston threatened to spoil the party until two Alfie Taylor goals and one from Jack Wisniewski gave AFC a 3-0 victory.
The attendance was the highest recorded in the division since the Christmas Eve derby between Whitworth and Wellingborough in 2005, when 1,150 packed into the Victoria Mill ground.
Diamonds ended August on top of the Division One table but manager Mark Starmer has continued to strengthen his squad. Midfield playmaker Jamie Gilsenan has joined from Thrapston, while Jake Newman, second highest marksman in the division last season while with Whitworth, has switched from Sileby.
