its going to be a great day out. something special about the FA vase. never forget Rushden Town making the quarter finals and losing to Hythe 1-0. all over them for 90 minutes but couldnt find a way past their keeper. If we get past this round who knows!

I think if we get over 100 fans travelling up then that is a terrific effort - we'll all just have to shout twice as loud as usual eh? :o

Well, the good news is that only 2 Northern League matches were affected by weather at the weekend while us southern softies were decimated by it ;)
Those two were abandoned at half time due to fog - Ashington's game being one of them (they were winnig 1-3 at the time).
Fingers crossed things will improve, the long range forecast while not great, should still see the conditions good enough for the match to be on, but wear your longjohns, it's gunna be ccccold !!!

Indeed, will be our first ever game where we haven't outnumbered the home support!

Shame Ashington don't have a covered end because I think this is one of those games where we could have an Aldershot-esque atmosphere. The one thing I do miss about Conference grounds is that segregation meant that we all had to be in the same area, which helped the atmosphere a lot.

You can stand (quite literally) corrected Ms Pascoe. They do have a covered end:
