We still don't know about their potential challenge though do we? I mean the 4-1 was a freak result at the start of the season with some uncharacteristic mistakes thrown in. Our team has improved immeasurably since that debacle and at home we are a match for anyone, just look at the Oadby and Sileby games.
Let's face it Sileby were lucky to get a point, and we dominated Oadby with 10 men! If we play to our full potential (and Saturday's game showed we're clicking again) I am sure we can win that one.
I still think Oadby and Sileby will drop more points as well.

Well they've done well against teams in the top 4, their record is Won 3 Drawn 1 Lost 1 so they'll be a threat no doubt, but I agree that the score at their place was a bit of a freak result. Many on here moaned as if we were outplayed, but as far as I can remember, much like just about every other game this season we still dominated possession and had more chances, its just they were good on the counter and clinical in front of goal, which we weren't. If we take our chances, then we should beat them.

I agree, Olly. I'm confident that we'll beat Eynesbury and feel we beat ourselves back in October at their pace. We now are a far better team with a very strong bench.

The Eynesbury game back in October was the wake-up call we needed, without it I'm not convinced we'd be in this position.
I was very downbeat after that game and things needed changing it was fairly obvious. Almost immediately Matt Gearing and Lance Allen came in, and we've since added the likes of King, Harris, Parky and Cross.
I wasn't massively impressed with Eynesbury back then, I think they did a good job of exposing our weaknesses though, weaknesses we no longer have.

Don't forget that we were in disarray as our Captain was sent home before the kick off.

Whenever Rushden and Diamonds were promoted it was always as champions.
Can we continue the trend?

Burton PW and Bugbrooke have won again tonight I believe (early KOs). BPW are on fire at the moment and have still to play Oadby and Eynesbury - could be interesting!
