Elements of the heritage of Rushden & Diamonds FC will be conserved in a new setting, it has also been proposed.
Eurgh, that's Cousins taking the piss. The new setting's currently in Wellingborough.
They'll put one of those blue heritage signs up on a wall somewhere saying this was the "Former home of Rushden & Diamonds FC"

The story of our next FA Cup opponent Hendon, and how their old ground had a covenant which seems to have served its purpose has quite a few parallels -

What's the strategy for organising a wide public campaign for a boycott then?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'boycott' but I would suggest if you wish to discuss what approach to the Nene Park development planning application, when finally submitted by the Developer and their consultants, the Board as guided by our fans, should take then it would be best to continue any discussions on the Members' Forum away from prying eyes. ;)
The 'Screening Opinion' application recently submitted to ENC doesn't allow for any public or individual comment to the LA. I suspect the public consultation planned for Huxlow School next weekend will not tell us anymore about Cousins intentions for the site other than that demonstrated by the four page proposal which we viewed last week.

It will be a double shame if the wrong people profit from it. I note the comment in the article that the club was "sold to a supporters' trust" - I wonder who told them that.
On a lighter note - and without cheating - long-term Diamonds fans can have a go at naming the players in the picture from back in the last millennium.

Tim Wooding
Jim Rodwell,
Paul Underwood
I think the goalie was the American on loan

Anyone know what a 'multi-use football facility' is?

Darren Bradshaw, Simon Parsell, Miguel De Souza, Carl Heggs, Paul Underwood, Jon Hamsher, Jim Rodwell, Adrian Foster, Ian Feuer, Tim Wooding.
The one at the back and the one whose face is obscured I am stuck on though. McElhatton and Butterworth?

That is McElhatton with longish hair and even if it isn't Butterworth, you could be forgiving with that pic!
