There were people still trying to get the Radio Npton commentary after 10/12 minutes, when you know Radio Diamonds goes right from the start (and we're more reliable, because we don't have to use ISDN phone lines)? If you're under the impression we're still in the bad old days of dull, inaccurate commentary, then give us a go next Tuesday. I promise it's a hell of a lot better than it used to be.
And Bruce is ill, unfortunately, so no Super Bowl chat

Could you define when ' the bad old days' occurred please?

As far as the radio station was concerned, not football; as in when commentators would regularly get players' names wrong, and would not know enough around the subject to be able to put players/goals/stats into context. I remember having to turn off when I was driving away from the ground (before I was involved) because the post-game discussion seemed to be more about the Prem than about us.
Are you an ex-presenter?
If you listened to me and Col tonight, feel free to give as much criticism as you like. I've got pretty thick skin.

I'm certainly not an ex presenter Pete. I enjoyed Radio Diamonds in it's first inception when the commentators did know a lot about the game and in particular local football and footballers. Also used to have one earphone in during the game as the team could offer their views on ref's decisions and who scored etc.
I was very sorry to see it then go off air after Max departed as part of the cuts but then pleased when it came back. This didn't last for long as it seemed amateurish by comparison and also very yoofful which didn't appeal to my middle aged mind set, so stopped listening.
Haven't tuned in for a while so will try again next game.

I've been listening to Radio Diamonds for the last few home games and i'll agree that you guys are a lot better than it used to be. I assume Bruce is the American, he reminds me of Boston Goals from Soccer AM.
Thanks and keep up the good work
The music ain't too bad either.

First of all he looked perplexed whether he'd scored then when he realised he jumped around, went to take his shirt off, then didn't then ran hugged someone, high fived someone, and sprinted by himself from about 25 yards out to the de Banke Terrace, and stayed there milking the love.
