This I don't like! ;) . It implies that Rushden & Diamonds is a borough, it also implies that Diamonds is a place.

I prefer Rushden & Diamonds United, although i'd still rather have AFC Rushden & Diamonds than either of those two.

Would not be allowed because they're too generic. Example of this is that 1st choice name for FC United of Manchester was FC United, but this was rejected by the FA on the grounds I've just mentioned.

Let's play in green and black and call ourselves Rushden Emerald... nah, maybe not.
