One game not selected and he's already moaning and wanting to leave, hardly the sort of attitude we want at our club

The guy he's talking to plays for Southam United, mid table in the Midland Football Combination, same level as us.

Exactly, we don't want that kind of potential disruptive influence in the team.

I think he could learn a thing or two from Joe Merrill, who despite the fact he has struggled to regain his place in the squad, hasn't thrown his toys out of his pram, and vented his frustration on twitter.

I hope Starms is aware of his comments.

Twitter is not doing some of these players any favours. If he's unhappy at not being selected in the squad he should keep his own counsel and discuss matters with Starms. Unfortunately, comments like his on a social media site, for all to see, aren't going to endear him with our fans.

I would find it very hard to drop Alex Deakin, who has done nothing wrong for us since he came into the side, and Hopey is the Captain.

Yea how can you change the defence when they've kept 5 clean sheets in a row. Deakin also looks a threat in the attack, hitting the bar and having one dissallowed yesterday

Just checked and he must have deleted it., either way if he did say it show him the door plenty others would like to play for us.

I suspect we will see in king in the middle tuesday and probably meril right back and i guess gearing will be back on the wing

You are right, it has been deleted.. either he has seen sense, or Starm's has had a word with him over it.. I think the latter.

Providing his injury isn't serious then I'll be surprised if Jake Gillingwater is dropped in favour of Joe.

Our players should realise - we have eyes everywhere ;)

I think its good we have players who want to play, I want our players to be hurting to play, but none of them have a divine right to, they have to earn it. We have a great squad of players and they'll all get their chance in the run-in I'm sure, with pretty much 2 games a week between now and the end of the season we'll need them all to keep the side fresh, Starms will have to mix things up. If they show patience they'll get their chance - then they need to take it. Competition for places is good.

The back four have been terrific in recent weeks, five games in a row without conceding a goal is awesome, we need to keep that form going into the business end of the season, March is a massive month, 8 games and we'll be meeting Eynesbury, Bugbrooke, Sileby and Oadby - we've yet to lose at the D&D and by the end of March we'll either be in full flow towards a promotion push, or the wheels will have totally come off.

Its all in our hands still, but one match at a time - and our total focus needs to be on Olney on Tuesday, dropping points to mid-table opposition will make the big games pointless.

Indeed, the back four have really worked hard to keep clean sheets and that comes from an understanding. Gilly has stepped in, when Joe was not available and the system allows players to come in and take a position comfortably. Gearing would probably be first choice for a midfield role, but, players have to be fit in order to be picked. On Tuesday, we could be without Sean, Matt Gearing, Gilly and Elliot. Another injury to any player and the team gets picked, by Starms, who will decide what will be best for the club. You can ask Jake or Alfie to play midfield and they would do it, because it would be what has been asked of them. We just need to keep a collective team and we will be very difficult to beat.
