My initial reaction to the beer throwing was one of disgust, following on from last weeks incident.
Just what is a matter with these nutters, do they have no respect for the club? thankfully the ref did nothing about it, if he saw it, the linesman certainly did though.
I am a blt better about it now that I have read the reasons why, but the guys that do these stupid things really need to behave in a more adult way.
Thank you "Twinkle" for your apology this morning. Please try and get the message through to your mates (if indeed they are your mates) that these incidents however they may feel provoked will only come back and bite us on the bum as the league or even the FA will impose sanctions. The authorities will only look at the responses by the fans not the original action that lead to the incident. How often does a player get sent off for retaliation and the original offender gets off scot free.
The singing and some of the daft chants are great. DONT STOP.
Finally PLEASE PLEASE cut out the "c" word. This really is extremely offensive to so many people.
LETS ALL GET TOGETHER NOW AND BEHIND THE TEAM ON TUESDAY

The atmosphere was great yesterday and made our commentary on radio diamonds even better. At the back of an old fashioned wooden stand, fans around us, standing all the way through, great singing from the diaminds fans, its what we all hoped it would be like when we set out on this adventure.
I'm old enough....just...to have seen some awful things in the 70s and 80s, and even in the last few years with my Wolves season ...the hate and the bile crashing down from the stands in these 20000 plus crowds is not enjoyable.
I love what we have at diamonds, small enough to have a cosy, you might say tradititional football family feel, but big enough to create atmosphere and excitement. You can see the players thrive on it.
There is a place for all of us surely, like parents and kids will never truly understand eachother we'll scratch our heads at other groups at times...but lets all rub along together and have a blast....

Eh, what you banging on about no one said anything about singers etc, all that was said was that bear thrower is a disgrace too the club. Singing is fine but throwing things onto to pitch is plain retarded
Anyone that is caught throwing a BEAR onto the pitch should quite rightly be banned forever.
I was next to that guy that had the ball kicked in his face deliberately by the Cxxx number 9 and if that had been one of my children that had been hit I personally would have jumped the barrier and twatted the player myself. The guy deserved all the abuse he got and probably more, in this incident i think you'll find he is the coward NOT the singers.

I agree that no one should have to tolerate bad language at a ground, however I also think that no one should have to tolerate people getting arsey if they use bad language at a ground.
Everyone knows bad language occurs at football, one of the best things about non-league football is that it's not segregated and everyone's free to move around the ground. So if you're annoyed at the bad language is it too much to ask to just move away from the bad language? Some of us want to swear and for f***'s sake we should be allowed to! ;)
*I make an exception for the C word, I think that every fan should make sure they don't use this word, IMO it's never acceptable.

This as always been my pet hate with AFC Diamonds and the old club.
I take on board that this is a community club and the old club was very much aimed towards families, especially in its non league days but when a player intentionally kicks the ball into a crowd of fans there is nobody on this site who wouldn't react.
Some of the messages in this thread are a bit of a joke; do you expect fans just to stand there and simply react by saying "thank you for kicking the ball at me, that was a lot of fun".
The player was pretty lucky it was just a pint of beer thrown at him.

I would have said more like 350+, Paul ( Trek ) had a count on the far side to the terrace and the stand and i believe he counted approx 90 there, which woud make a mockery of that figure qoued by Bourne
