I can't see anyone else capable, apart from maybe Eynesbury, and that's a big maybe, of beating Sileby
They've got;
Shitworths (A)
Buckingham (A)
Harrowby (H)
Northampton Spencer (twice)
Eynesbury (A)
Wooton (A)
Potton (H)
Hopefully they'll have some unexpected slip ups.
I'd expect them to beat at least 4 or 5 of those, and possibly another draw

I see they've got Whitworths on Saturday when we're not playing, anyone gonna go to that one, might have a look, Whitworths actually gave Sileby quite a scare last time iirc, 3-2 wasn't it?
Unless the weather calls it off that is, just saw the forecast for the weekend, ffs

Personally I think that's our chances gone now. We needed That win more than them, they'll be over the moon with a point as it maintains their lead.
Whoever looses our game against eynsbury are out of it, if we draw we're both out of it. Oadby and sileby have got to drop points in two games now. Oadby could against us, but won't against anyone else. And sileby could against eynsbury but who else is capable of taking points off them. Hate to be all negative but I just feel that late goal has cost us.

I agree, I think its a strange situation atm, because a draw was a fair result on the night and to get a draw against top of the league is nothing to be negative about, however giving how tight it is at the top, don't think a draw was enough.

Clearly our fate is in the hands of others, and I still feel Eynesbury could do some damage to Oadby, Sileby and, of course, us. I'm hopeful that the fact that Oadby will have fixture congestion may proove our saviour. I would add that Sileby havn't been totally convincing in their last 4-5 games so I'm not writing off our chances of promotion just yet despite last Tuesday's result feeling like a loss rather than a point gained.

I couldnt agree more, The more i see that goal the more i think that ball should never have been allowed to be crossed into the box, and there should have been 10 white shirts defending for their lives... I know the deflection was a bad one, but should they have been allowed to shoot? Not really, 3 points were vital.
It is going to be a nail biting end to the season, and its ok keep saying about Sileby and Oadby slipping up, but the main reality is we still have to play Oadby and Eynesbury ourselves and should 6 points not be gained in them two games then without a doubt our chances will be slim...
Even if we dont get promoted, and at the moment its an uphill task, I think finishing in the top 3 in the first season would be nothing short of an amazing achievement. I remember saying before the start id be happy with a top half place. I feel nothing but pure proudness of everything that has been achieved on and off the field, and am proud to be a part of the club...
Im sure it will us back all that bit stronger...

Oh come on guys, how many other teams will take 4pts off Sileby this season? Yes it was gutting to lose a last minute equaliser, but we're still in with a great shout of a top-two place. Oadby have many games to catch up, and have still got to play Eynesbury and us.
Even if we don't make it, how many teams will potentially only lose two games and not go up? Will just show the quality of the top four. Look at the table last year - Huntingdon won the title losing SIX games. This year is a just a freak. If we don't go up and depending on the quality of sides coming into the league, we'll be in a great position to go all out for the title.
Let's not lose faith, remember this is our FIRST year as a senior team, a top four finish will be a magnificent achievement. You just have to look at the money and players at Oadby and Sileby to see what we've been up against.
Let's face it the current top four are comfortably upper mid-table UCL Prem teams in all but name.

I agree with your point on the Eynesbury game, though the Oadby game for both teams is exactly the same, both teams have to win all their respective games against the top 4 to have a chance of promotion, otherwise they're unlikely to stand a chance. By the looks of things we can't afford to drop a single point from now til the end of the season and we're relying on Eynesbury to do us a favour against either or both Sileby or Oadby.
To get to the final day of the season with a chance of promotion at 5pm would be fantastic but I fear even if it does happen it would a non event as we'd probably need the impossible to happen and one of the other teams to slip up. Which like people have said in the past is the problem with this league, out of over 40 games, only twice has a team from outside the top 4 taken anything off Sileby or Oadby and not a single team outside the top 4 has ever gotten anything off Sileby (although they have had the odd close one where they needed to get a late winner). Just got to keep our fingers crossed, but like I've said before I'm personally very happy that we're even in a promotion race at this stage of our first season, its a superb achievement, even if we don't get promoted.
