First of all, great interview, thank you so much for providing this blog mate.
Second, that is music to my ears that he is open to potentially joining R&D. His experience would be invaluable at the level up I'm sure. The thought of having him, Dolman and Ashton battling for those two places in the centre of defence is one that well and truly excites me. Let's hope we can do it.
Thank OD, he's great to interview, very open and honest.
I think he will play at a higher level to be honest and perhaps dual register like this season. Perhaps we could be the club he retires at in a few seasons time?
I'm personally looking forward to seeing how his team copes against Peterborough a week on Wednesday, their biggest test so far.
This post was taken off-topic every time a contribution was made without the intent to evaluate the current playing squad. We got about 8 constructive responses. I enjoyed reading them.
The thread went off topic as soon as you wanted Lorraine, who scored again on Saturday, out. It then became a work of fantasy that even Game of Thrones fans would have rejected. If you had said replace Rogers with a dragon you wouldn't have lost anymore credibility

Is it possible to have negative credibility though? When he admitted only going to a handful of games, and relying on the highlights videos to form his opinions, it made him seem less credible than a politician's promise.
There isn't 8 fingers on a hand, so your statement isn't qualified Formic.
Most scouts will also happily form judgments after 8 games of watching players. I stand by what I said, I think we need two new strikers that can really boss it the level up. Complacency is dangerous. Settling for what you have lacks vision.
The thread isn't about me, the title is not "If I were Peaks". I asked for opinions, discussion, and debate from the fans on their opinions about who should be retained for next year. Stagman, Olly, paulg, BartonRaz, SouthRushdenJFC, Cotty, TheIncognitoKid, JamesBeil and Trek provided their insight into this. We seem to share a few judgements, and differ on a few more. Football is a game of opinions.
It's a shame more posters aren't as comfortable in posting theirs. This is a fans forum. The central subject of any fans forum is always going to be the playing staff. In my eyes, the fans should be entitled to have a platform to discuss playing staff without fear of being shot down.
Od2 ,nothing wrong with debate,,,just your timing was all wrong with this thread !!!!.at the time we were pushing for promotion at the time and players do look on here .at the time we needed to get behind the team,,,,but you seemed to want to change half of it.....by all means when the glitter wear is in the bag feel free to debate
That's where I'm going Discodunk. As fans, do we want a forum where we are too scared to post anything about evaluating the playing staff because players are reading? Players shouldn't read these messageboards, they should concentrate on their football, and not worry about what the fans think. After all, we don't pick the team like Ebbsfleet. ;)
Many of the people who attacked my post will hold opinions on our current squad that are not as utopian as they're making out. If a championship has suddenly swallowed any of those opinions up, without taking anything away from our achievements in still winning the title, remember how far ahead Holbeach were until they stopped after the FA Vase. Plenty of food for thought. In my eyes, plenty of areas in which we can improve our squad.
For the record, it wasn't "half of it". It was keeping 13 and releasing 7.
I don't think any of us actually know how strong the Southern League Central is, and that's most revelant to the discussion. All I know is that we've never lost to a SLC team when we've played them, Northwood last season and Bedford Town this season. I reckon if we consulted the whole AFCRD fan base then I doubt we'd find many fans who actually watched a SLC match last season. I bet Peaksie and Lambie have a far better idea as to whether our current squad will be up the task next season. I don't have any idea what the Board's playing budget/league target will be for next season. All I know is they'll ensure the budget is sustainable.
As I posted earlier, there will be a bit of natural wastage in the close season, which might mean we need a couple of new strikers as suggested by OD2, bearing in mind that Dunkley and Turner havn't featured, for whatever reason, in the last two match day squads so it will be interesting to see if they feature at Yaxley.
I personally, like most fans I guess, would like to see us target promotion to keep the momentum going and ensure that floating fans do not lose interest but this should not be done at 'any cost'.
