Predictions for tomorrow

I think all the play off teams will be saving themselves for next week so I'm not anticipating an exciting game at Nene Park (although the atmosphere should be pretty good) or surprise scores elsewhere:-

R&D 1 v 1 Luton - Tomlin to score

Stevenage 2 v 0 York

Eastbourne 2 v 1 Oxford

....... which means we will play Oxford on Thursday.

I could go along with those, I'd be surprised if Stevenage didn't go out to win their last home game at this level, and with regard to Eastbourne/Oxford, either that or a draw. Eastbourne need to win that game, so will fight like rats to do so, although on paper Oxford should win it.

I really want us to win so we reach 80 points mark...just see that as a fantastic points total and it'll mean the double over Luton as well (another something to take with us, if we fail to get promoted)

Rushden 2 Luton 1

Eastbourne 1 Oxford 1

Stevenage 1 York 2 (gives Luton something to think about)

Do Stevenage still have the trophy final? Any idea when it is? That is the only reason i could see York get anything from that i'm afraid. I don't think either us or York will be going all out to finish 4th/5th, but if Stevenage rest players for Trophy, then i think York have a chance.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see York get something out of their match at Stevenage. I think we need at least a draw with Luton to finish in fourth place.

Trophy final is 8 May so there's every chance that Stevenage will not be playing at full strength tomorrow.

But if they rest players the ones who come in will be fighting for a place in the FAT squad, wheras York face the dilema of resting players to avoid potential problems or playing full strength against a strong side for good opposition. Stevenage also have a reasonably large squad which doesn't get that much weaker when first team players are rested.

Personally I want us to play a bunch of kids and kick the sh*t out of Luton so most of their best players get injured or maybe even retaliate, and we don't have suspension problems as it's the kids who did it

R&D 0 v 0 Luton (after all the hype it'll be a let down ;) )

Stevenage 3 v 1 York (they'll be in party mood and will pl;ay York off the park !!)

Eastbourne 0 v 2 Oxford (nuff said !!)
