The Atmosphere....

was absolutely amazing. Apparently they even said on the radio we were out singing the oxford fans, which considering how quiet they were yesterday wasn't hard!
One note though, I think the reason why is because all the singers on the PDB were spread out more in the crowd they were getting people joining in with the chanting more than normal (not just because of how much the game meant to us).
Perhaps next season we should try doing this at home? The part of the PDB under the scoreboard is quieter than the other half and I think if there were more singers over that side then you would get a better atmosphere and hopefully spur the team on more!

Sounds like a good idea!
And I agree the atmosphere, particularly in our end was amazing, and we did outsing the Poxford fans, I was surprised at how quiet they actually were.

i heard yellows once and then when they scored the goals. we were ace. a real credit. we were the 12th man but really we needed 13 or 14 men out there to beat them.
can't wait for next season.
come on you whites.

I think the atmosphere was amazing because we were all tightly packed in which gave a sense of togetherness that we don't usually have.
We could try spreading out at home but honestly I only think away games will produce that kind of atmosphere like at Aldershot, Luton and Oxford. It's games like these that show the spirit of ourselves as fans rather than home games (although the atmosphere at home has improved greatly as the season's gone along).

Generally the atmosphere for our away games has been great this season, but Monday was just something else, I agree that the fact we were tightly packed and that not everyone who wanted sing or stand up was in one area as well really helped, so yeah it was amazing, cannot wait for the next time we have over 1000 fans travelling to a game!

it must be to do with the acoustics of the de Banke. The singing at Oxford - and Kiddy - was excellent. At the Luton home game I'm sure our supporters were singing their hearts out but as I had to have a seat in the South stand but nearer the away end than usual I could hardly hear them.
