Although Stevenage gained the most points last season they may not yet be promoted to League 2.

R & D are believed to be in discussion with Grays Athletic regarding a possible coalition whereby the points that both teams gained would be added together and would be sufficient to overtake Stevenage's total and thus gain promotion.

However, it has also been reported that Grays are also in discussions with both Luton and York City regarding a similar arrangement. :o ;)

Even better news - Gary Hill is in discussions regarding being appointed as caretaker manager.

If only football really worked like that! ;)

I'm sure Grays would side with us ahead of York or Luton. Most of our squad are from their neck of the woods anyway, York is too far from Grays to form a workable coalition (it would be like the Tories and Lib Dems forming a coalition! ;) ) and Grays certainly won't want to be associated with the scum element at Luton.

Seats win matches but big constituencies like Luton South and Oxford East try and make you think that the number of votes you get matters. ;)
