I'm no expert so I suspect the nerds and statto's to correct me when they read this.

I think it means they had an option to extend their contract at the end of the season on the same terms.

Yeah, basically when the contract was signed, he obviously got 2 years with the clubs option to extend it for a third year, which they have done.

isn't he under 24? he'd not be able to move freely if he is.
