I think there is a reason that D&R are after Huke - he's a very good player. He was coming good for us, and his flexibility is always a positive. I think he could have been, and hopefully still will be very important for us next year. Hoping D&R go up now though - Huke is good but surely not League 1 standard.

For some reason, which I don't know, I'm not all that bothered about Downer leaving. Think it might just be I was expecting it.

With Downer, and maybe Huke, Byrne etc. not returning next season, JE has got a big job on his hands.

One other thing, it said the striker spent last season in the BSP. That throws more wood on the fire re: Joe Benjamin!

How about Tom Hutchinson who has left Woking? A centre-half well liked by everyone at the Cards, and previously their captain.

The striker/winger could be Ryan Charles who has just been released by Luton.

Good call that, 28 years old so not too old. However, I've got a feeling that all of the signings will be those that are less well known, like Porter was last season.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

I know for a fact that we were after Dan Gleeson, but of course he has gone to Luton, probably Justin knew about losing Downer and was planning to put Curtis at C/H
