Bought some only this week..............however, not as hot as they used to be. Maybe its the way they are grown (forced)?
I also buy the Daikon radish for making Soups and Radish Hash Browns

If you have any garden then they are very easy to grow them yourself. Then you can sow the variety you like.
I imagine the lack of flavour might be down to shops buying a different varriety, or, if they are being grown with too much fertiliser then that could reduce the flavour, that can happen with tomatos too.
But if you can, grow em in your garden as they are virtually impossible to fail

I have a fantastic landscaped garden but I haven't the time to grow stuff. I go out sometimes on a Monday and don't get back until Friday night.

But if you plant them on a Sunday.............they will continue to grow whilst you are away!
With our weather, you wouldn't need to water them mid week.
Then when they have grown you can harvest them on a Saturday and eat them on a Sunday.
