Crawley/Tomlin
Crawley/Tomlin
Thought this needed it's own thread, apparantly they've had a 'six-figure' bid for Lee Tomlin - and another unnamed Conference player - rejected.

Not necessarily the most reliable sources I know, but http://www.conferenceforum.co.uk/articles/show/1741535 and http://www.conferenceforum.co.uk/articles/show/1741520

That's possibly the worst site for reliable sources.

Re: Crawley/Tomlin
What the f***? I seriously doubt Tommo would go there even if it was accepted. I'm sure he'd rather complete this season and go L1 or Championship at the end of it.

That said, with the way his agent was talking on the non league show, I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to set something up. Crawley would be a backwards step.

Re: Crawley/Tomlin
His agent would convince him that Crawley was a great step forward as they have a recently found a pot of gold to pave the way to the Football League and a nice signing on fee for Tomlin and of course the agent himself.
I mean Cook was on his way to Stevenage but the smell of fresh crisp money wafted across from Crawley.

Re: Crawley/Tomlin
Apparently the bid for Tomlin was a conference record and will be upped. Didn't Boyd go to Peterborough for 275k?
They also had a 210k bid for Constable rejected.

I can't remember Posh being in the Conference. I'd look at the most paid by a Conference Team as a starting point - has anyone beaten the £180k fee we paid for Justin Jackson in the past 10 seasons ?BartonRaz wrote:Apparently the bid for Tomlin was a conference record and will be upped. Crawley wouldn't be the first club to make claims like this - but until a player moves and a fee is published a big pinch of salt is required.
