Sounds like a backwards move for him unless Gainsborough have pots of cash.

You can see why Justin ditched them if they have this lack of ambition. Simon Downer is a quality defender and would walk into most Conference teams. Wow.

I agree, but I think his injury troubles are more of an issue than we are aware. His entire career prior to joining us had been blighted by injury, and he struggled towards the end of last season as well. I suspect he has dropped a level and presumably gone part time in order to help prolong his career and reduce the risk of picking up a serious long term injury.
